The course is divided into three modules. The course is aimed at providing the trainees with knowledge, skills and attitudes which enable them to perform system analysis, system design, software development tasks and administrative duties. |
|
Module I:
is designed to enable the trainees become a computer operator with skills and knowledge in operating systems, computer application packages and information system.
Module II:
is designed to enable the trainee become computer programmers and system analysts with skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship education and relevant mathematics.
Module III:
Is designed to enable the trainee become a system administrator with skills and knowledge to administer various computer networks and management of human resources.

Course Duration
The course is scheduled to take a minimum of
18 Months. |

Entry Requirements
Trainees entering this course should have either of the following requirements:
- Passed Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
(KCSE) with an average of grade
C (plain).
- Equivalent qualification.

Examinations
The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)
will offer external examination at the end of each module of the course.
In the event that a candidate is referred in not more than two
subjects in a given module, he/she should be allowed to proceed to the
next module while waiting to re-sit the failed subject.
|
|
Internal Exams
Internal Exams will be conducted and marked by the
ICT. Continuous assessment test will be given a weighting of
30% and the final internal examination by the
ICT be given a weighting of
70% in the determination of final examination.
ICT
will issue academic transcripts in all modules to the trainees. The

Industrial
Attachment
Before the end of the course, the trainee must show evidence of having covered a minimum of three months for an industrial
attachment.
During this period the trainee will be required to have been attached to an organization practicing the relevant trade where she/he will be expected to familiarize himself/ herself with all or most of the trade.
