Course Description
The course is designed to equip the trainee the skills to design and develop new hardware and software systems and to incorporate new technologies. Computer system analysts, scientists and database administrators are the wide range of specialists in this field.

Aims of the course
To enable the trainee evolve rapidly, reflecting new ideas in area of specialization or changes in technology as well as the preference and practices of employers. |

The course is divided into three stages:
Stage I :
Designed to enable the trainee become a computer operator with hands on skills in basic
maintenance and analysis. It also sheds light on the basic introductory section of computing.
Stage II:
Designed to enable the trainee become a system administrator and programmer in
a specific area of programming. With an added skill in industrial organization and management the trainee is well placed and ware of most of the organizational activities and procedures.

Course Duration:
The course is scheduled to take a minimum of 2 ½ semesters (18
months). |
Entry Requirements
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of C (Plain) with relevant passes in Mathematics and 2 Sciences. |

Examinations
The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)
will offer external examination at the end of each module of the course.
In the event that a candidate is referred in not more than two subjects
in a given module, he/she should be allowed to proceed to the next
module while waiting to re-sit the failed subjects
Internal Exams
Internal Exams will be conducted and marked by
ICT. Continuous assessment test will be given a weighting of 30% and the final internal examination by
ICT be given a weighting of 70% in the determination of final examination.
The centre will issue academic transcripts in all modules to the
trainees.
