What to do incase of emergency

What would YOU do if you found your house was on fire?

Would you call the police? The fire brigade? only to be told there is no fuel, the fire engine has no water in the tank! sounds familiar?
One thing for sure; is nobody knows which number to use during an emergency? 999; 911?

if you are lucky and the fire brigade happen to respond to your emergency call it is most likely by the time they get there you will have lost all your property through fire.

These are things we never think of until the day we find ourselves in such circumstances

The same case applies to administering first aid!

Many people at home; in companies and in schools have no idea or clue on emergency treatment they can administer to an injured or sick person before professional medical care is available.

Now you can learn what to do during an emergency by joining ICT and learn about fire and first aid.

ICT works in partnership with Thika Municipal, Hampshire and Guernsey Fire and Rescue in the UK

Fire and First Aid Training

Loss of life and property remains a fact of life; however, this terrible human toll could be prevented if schools, businesses and organisations take precautions to protect themselves from fires before they get out of control. Many establishments lack not only basic fire fighting equipment but also the expertise among the staff and students on how to handle “fire emergency” situations and the skills and training on how to use fire extinguishers; simple fire safety measures that can make a big difference during such an emergency.

There have been incidents of fires breaking out in schools leaving incalculable losses in their wake. More so the threat of post-election violence, particularly in the slums of Nairobi and the Rift Valley and Western Province led to an unacceptable and rising level of crime and arson resulting in loss of life and property.

We invite NGOs, CBOs, donors, grantees, youths, schools, businesses and organisations to ICT for training in risk management, fire fighting and rescue, first aid and disaster prevention techniques as the first step towards preventing the loss of property and life envisaged during outbreaks of fire or manmade or natural disasters.

International Centre of Technology is a new fire fighting college that has been established in Thika. The college is fully equipped with modern equipment and highly qualified trainers to cater for all fire fighting and first aid needs and supply of fire fighting equipment.

Our courses enable organisations to fulfill both their legal obligations and to protect their infrastructure and employees. We can also offer tailor made courses to meet your company’s specific needs.

We believe that this training will not only equip you with necessary fire and rescue skills, emergency response skills, it will also reduce the risk of fire and make your schools, businesses and organisations have a sense of security in protection against fire and loss of life and the threat posed by fire to people, property and jobs.

To take advantage of this opportunity to secure your place for the training program please contact International Centre of Technology to make your booking on Tel: 020 2022 694, 0720 010 720 or contact us on email admin@ictcollege.org to discuss your specific requirements.
